Protect your potentially life-saving piece of equipment. Essential for regular handheld VHF radios when paddling and a prudent additional line of defence even for waterproof models. (The typical radio manufacturer tests their products in passive submersion scenarios. They don't simulate, for example, the pressure of a wave smashing against a kayaker's chest and the radio in their PFD pocket.)
You can use your radio normally through the case; it doesn't interfere with sound or radio signals. Aquapac cases meet IP67 and IP68 waterproofing standards and are guaranteed to be submersible to at least 4.8m (15ft.).
(Note that since operation of the case is outside their control, Aquapac, like other manufacturers, does not guarantee the items inside the case, only the case itself. Likewise, MEC's Rock Solid Guarantee covers the product, but not the contents.)
- Two sizes for a custom fit: Small is 17.5cm long by 19.5cm in circumference, Large is 22.5cm long by 22.5cm in circumference.
- Suitable for right and left antenna radios.
- Case body is made of UV-stabilized polymers that will not break down or become discoloured through exposure to sunlight.
- Seams are high-frequency welded.
- Unique, ultra-secure, rustproof, injection-moulded plastic Aquaclip. Seals with a twist of a lever – no fiddly screws to thread or lips to seal.
- Comes with fully adjustable detachable neck cord and a carabiner.
- Desiccant pack recommended (sold separately).
