The sizes 4.6m to 6.4m are optimised for pure speed and can also be used by top level sailors for slalom in extreme conditions. The sizes 7.0m to 9.0m are brand new pure slalom tools offeering improved low-end, accleleration and a lighter feel for '09. The tuneable 9.0m also works very well as a high windformula sail. The sizes 9.8m and 10.8m are optimised for formula racing. There was a time when we discouraged use of the X-15 deeming it to be too 'hard core' and rigid for most sailors. How-ever, over time we've devleoped the X-15 into a much more user friendly sail buy dint of close attention to camber inducer design, sail form and rigging elements. The X-15 remains as a no-compromise competition tool but it' now straightforward to rig with electric perfomance on the water and a super stable profile that invites the strongest of gusts. Although designed without comproise for big winds and maximum speed, sailing with an X-15 is not like wrestling a wild animal, as you may expect. Thanks to its slippery foil, the X-15 will keep accelerating through the most savage of gusts and is limited only by the nerve of the rider!
