LAST REMAINING! 4M Green with boom!

GET THE SURF FEELING

 - A new, fun way to enjoy watersports! -

The Duotone Foil Wing is such a simple concept yet delivers unrivalled performance. Using all that Duotone have learned from their sister product, the Arrows iRig, the Foil Wing is an evolution of their inflatable leading-edge expertise. Developed by foiling innovators Ken Winner and Sky Solbach, the Wingfoil adds an element of fun that crosses over for a lot of paddlers. Yet the foil wing also turns foiling, particularly downwinding into a more dynamic experience which keeps you up flying.

Once in hand, the Dutone Wing Foil is extremely light weight to manage and with lots of power on tap due to the combination of the rigid aluminium boom and the three-batten sail.

The combined tension of the boom, battens and inflatable leading edge also fixes the geometry of the Foil Wing in a 'wing up' formation. This dihedral design helps keep the wing tips out of the water as well as provide a stable flight, particularly when transitioned above your head for tacking upwind and gybing downwind.

BOOM :

The integrated boom stabilises the profile and is compatible with every wing size due to the length adjustment.

It gives the Foil Wing the best ease of use with unlimited hand placements and the highest level performance. Choice of your grab position and easy hand sliding to correct position allows the rider to balance load on arms more easily.

For takeoff power and efficient pumping of the wing, the rider has a stiff and strong connection to the wing with no flexing.

DIHEDRAL - WING (UP) GEOMETRY
  • Of roll stability, which is helpful for keeping the lower wingtip out of the water (the most common difficulty for beginners)and for stabilizing the wing during both straight-line riding and transitions
  • This roll stability is most obvious when the Foil Wing is sheeted in a bit or a lot, so the rider can always get better stability by pulling in with the back hand. If the wind is strong, just put the Foil Wing overhead (it will never just lift you up the way a kite will) and sheet in a bit for great automatic stability.
  •  Balanced dihedral angle opted for a good blend of power and stability.

WINDOW

  •  Windows, of course. Alan Cadiz (HST), who was an early adopter, an early master of the sport, and is the master instructor, insisted on big windows. They‘re super helpful whether you‘re cruising around in traffic or surfing swells downwind.

BATTENS

  • Adding battens improves wind range. A batten-less canopy that flaps a lot is a canopy that has a lot of drag. This drag makes the wing harder to handle in high wind and so reduces the wing‘s wind range.
  • Adding stability in the canopy and reduces flatten to a minimum
  • Give better upwind ability and therefore better for safety and versatility and increase top-end

Each Duotone Wing Foil is supplied with a pump adaptor to work with the vast majoirty of pumps for kites or Stand Up Paddleboards.

The Duotone Wing Foil is available in blue or grey colourways in -

2 metres - best suited to 22 - 35 knots of wind

3 metres - excels in 20 - 30 knots of wind and best matched with the 5 metre wing foil canopy

4 metres - if you have one size, then this is the most popular size. Works best in 14 - 22 knots.

5 metres - a light wind weapon for 10 - 17 knots
