PYRO 

Designed in collaboration with 5 x World Champion Philip Köster, the PYRO will light your fire.

The PYRO is a complete redesign. New shape. New bottom contours. New construction. Faster to plane. Sharper on the wave.

Volume distribution shifted forward gets you up and moving earlier. A wider tail section with thinner, refined rails increases bite and maneuverability. Foot straps repositioned further back put you over the tail; more leverage, tighter turns.

This combination of forward volume, wider tail, and rear strap positioning extends the effective range of every size. Sail a smaller board with earlier planing confidence, or step up a size and still rip on the wave. One board covers more of what the ocean throws at you.

PERFORMANCE GEOMETRY
The bottom shape progresses from Vee concave through flat concave into double concave; smoother rail-to-rail transitions, faster acceleration, and predictable grip through turns.

More nose rocker than the previous generation improves wave entry. Lower tail kick keeps speed and drive out of turns.

Volume sits further forward to get you planing earlier. A wider tail with thinner, refined rails adds bite when you put it on rail, and foot straps set further back put you over the tail; more leverage, tighter turns.

Ride it flat to go fast. Get it on the rail to go vert.

NYCA FINS
NYCA is an injection-based technology utilising a specialised blend of thermoplastic polymer and carbon fibres. This blend not only offers resistance to abrasion but also the ideal rigidity for windsurfing performance.

Carbon fibre content is added to create efficient active flex patterns, similar to traditional premium production methods.

NYCA fins are lighter and more durable than traditional G10 or RTM fins, with much higher strength and impact resistance. As a result, longevity is also upgraded, whether be it for hours on the water or impacts with shallow reefs.

NYCA wave fins
NYCA technology wave fins are precision manufactured for responsiveness. This latest innovation not only improves drive and control but does so without compromising acceleration and top speed. This is achieved by maintaining the tried and proven blueprint that current SEVERNE wave fins are built on.

Front lateral fins
Built for optimal acceleration and drive, the lower section of these fins prioritizes maximum speed. With a relatively pronounced rake, narrow chord, and forward profile, more lift is produced while drag is minimised. Fast and efficient. The curved yet compact tips ensure a predictable engagement and release effect.

Rear lateral fins
Equipped with a wider base, the rear lateral fins provide essential stability. A moderate rake and a relatively narrow chord in the top section generate substantial drive. A better surfing experience.

GLOSSY RAILS
The 027 Pyro is finished in a ceramic clear coat.
The coat itself is up to 18% lighter; shine without the extra weight.

It cures to 2H surface hardness and repels water, salt and grime.
Rail knocks and beach scratches leave less of a mark, and the surface largely cleans itself.

The ceramic structure is UV-stable; no yellowing, even after long stretches in tropical sun. In comparative testing the coat scored 9.6 for gloss retention.
