Which Duotone Wing Foil Should I Choose?
Choosing the right foil wing can completely change how your sessions feel on the water. Whether you’re chasing tight surf turns, long efficient glides, or something balanced in between, the Carve 3.0, Glide 2.0, and Crest D/LAB each bring a distinct personality. The foils may either come in SLS options or D/Lab. SLS is Duotone’s high-performance carbon construction, while D/LAB uses a more advanced, ultra-light premium layup that delivers the absolute lowest weight and highest stiffness.
Here’s a cleaned-up breakdown to help you decide which one matches your riding style:
> Duotone Carve Wing Foil
Coming in both SLS and D/LAB constructions, the Carve is aimed at foilers who want to push hard in waves and freestyle.
This wing features a medium aspect ratio with a shorter wingspan and wider chord (front-to-back depth). That compact span gives the foil a much quicker roll response, resulting in faster rail-to-rail transitions and a tighter turning radius. The overall feel is distinctly surf-oriented and dynamic.
The profile is slightly thicker with increased camber compared to more efficiency-focused wings. This produces stronger lift at lower speeds, which is especially noticeable when carving hard or slowing mid-turn. Top turns feel more supported and forgiving, making it easier to stay on foil through aggressive maneuvers.

> Duotone Glide Wing Foil
The Duotone Glide 2.0 also comes in SLS and D/LAB. It is a performance freeride foil designed for efficiency, smooth flight, and easy lift.
This is a high aspect wing with a long, stretched outline (aspect ratio roughly 9.9–10.3 depending on size). The wide center section provides strong, usable lift, while the thinner tips reduce drag and improve glide.
On the water, the Glide lives up to its name. It gets up easily, maintains speed well, and delivers excellent pumping efficiency. Despite its efficiency focus, it still offers enjoyable, predictable turning — just not the snappy, surf-style feel of the Carve.
Because of its stability and low stall speed, it’s particularly good for practicing gybes and tacks, giving riders more time and margin for error.

> Duotone Crest D/Lab Wing Foil
Not quite sold on either? The Crest is new for 2026 and sits neatly between the Carve and Glide and only comes in D/Lab construction.
With a smaller aspect ratio than the Glide, it retains good efficiency but feels noticeably more lively and responsive. It won’t deliver the ultra-snappy rail hit of the Carve, but the turns are flowing, controlled, and confidence-inspiring.
The outline is well balanced with subtle sweep and a smooth, continuous curve from center to tip. Combined with a moderate camber profile, the Crest produces smooth early lift, predictable airflow, and a very composed feel at speed.
