Oscar Shaw
Shop and Team Rider
Our main instructor down at the school for the last two years, Oscar is extremely talented and has been windsurfing on the water his whole life. Chris' eldest son, Oscar, is a great, friendly character on and off the water, he is a fantastic teacher and his love for the water sports is infectious to everyone. He has competed internationally in the Techno Class and even won some of the National and International competitions. Currently, Oscar is now sponsored by JP Australia and NEIL PRYDE for his wave-riding windsurfing and even competed in Tiree last year. Big things are definitely coming up soon for Oscar…

Boris Shaw
Shop Rider and British Sailing Squad Member
Chris' second eldest son is currently competing and training internationally for the iQFoil competitions, whilst still studying for his degree in Maritime Engineering!
Boris has just come back from Japan, where he competed in iQ Games in Miyakojima and came 5th overall and 3rd Under 23 - a great achievement for 2024 so far! With a busy 2023, Boris travelled to Silvaplana in August to compete in the first iQFoil Under21 Worlds in which he came 2nd! Boris is an extremely talented windsurfer and prior to iQFoil, he was the number 2 in the world in the Techno U17 Class.
For 2024, he is a member of the British Sailing Squad for his iQFoil training, and he has a very busy year in between exams of international and national races! We have great hopes of Boris' racing success and he has his sights aimed towards the 2028 Olympics at the moment...

Max Beaman
Shop Rider and British Sailing Squad Member
Max has been riding for Poole Harbour Watersports since iQFoil became the Olympic choice since 2020 and has shown great progression and achievements in the sport. He also was chosen to become a British Sailing Squad Member for this year onwards and will continue to train and compete in national and international events.
At the first iQFoil Worlds Under 21 at Silvaplana this August, Max was at the top of the fleet and even won a few races before finishing in the top 10!
When not training for iQFoil, Max regularly goes wave-riding down on any swell in Cornwall! Keep track of all his events on his instagram: @maxbeaman262
Darcey Shaw
Shop Rider
The only daughter in the Shaw family is also one of our shop riders and continues the Shaw legacy with fantastic racing and windsurfing capabilities.
Darcey is the current season winner of the National Championship Cup Series and has a great history in Techno racing, with Darcey now moving to the Youth iQFoil scene, in which she is already part of the National Youth Squad. Whilst balancing studying her A Levels and training, Darcey has been super busy at international events over the extended holidays! Recently, in December 2023 she travelled to Brazil for the Youth Worlds and came 3rd - fantastic achievement and we hope her podium success continues in 2024.
Across 2023, she came 4th in the Europeans in Italy and 15th in the World in Silvaplana - for her first events at 16 she is doing amazing!
Milo Shaw
Shop Rider
The youngest of the Shaw family, but the talent definitely didn't run out! At only 13, shop rider Milo is already making a name for himself in the world of competing.
This summer, Milo competed internationally at the World Techno in France in which he came 3rd in the 6.8 category! He is also the current champion nationally too.
His skill and passion doesn't just stop with the racing field, he also is a very keen wave rider and flies off the waves when it's windy!
Milo has great drive and ambition when he's out on the water and we are sure he is going to have a successful future with lots of trophies nearly as big as him again...
Our team is always looking to grow and we love to support the upcoming generation with all their possible successes!
