HIGH-PERFORMANCE FREERIDE
The 650 front wing targets intermediate to advanced riders. It has a huge range with a medium speed take off and nearly unlimited top end. The medium aspect ratio delta planform and washed-out wingtips provide smooth lift and balance at lower speeds - as the speed increases, the lift shifts towards the center of the foil, adding stability and the ability to push hard with control. This wing is also a light wind weapon - as soon as you’re able to pop up onto the foil and break the board free, the ultra low drag anhedral design lets you create an insane amount of apparent wind to hit high speeds in marginal conditions. If you’re into blasting around at speed without losing the ability to carve and ride waves, the 650 is the most exciting foil in our line up and will ignite under the feet of intermediate to advanced riders.
The 810 is a versatile foil for riders of all levels. Sharing the same design DNA as the 650, the delta planform and ultra low drag anhedral shape seamlessly blends riding fast and turning hard with incredible stability - that means you can push harder and ride in a wider range of conditions due to having full trust in your foil and being in control at any speed. The 810 has a smooth early take-off, eliminating out of control breaches for inexperienced foilers and allowing for a greatly increased top end. Like the 650, the extreme low drag of this foil makes it a light wind weapon due to its ability to generate apparent wind. Pairing ease of use with top end performance, the 810 is the perfect foil for kiters wanting to take their riding to the next level.
For kiters focused on early lift and easy progression, the Kite 960 is an entry-level wing that refines proven concepts such as an elliptical low aspect planform and thin foil section to give entry-level foilers the best possible experience on the water. Takeoffs are extremely smooth, with some delay to allow maximum comfort and control. Speed is good but not intimidating and the foil turns intuitively with a ‘surfy’ feel. For improved lift and carving stability, we’ve paired it with the Kite 270 stabilizer.
RECENT CHANGES - A NEW FUSELAGE AND MAST SYSTEM
Hydrofoiling is a rapidly evolving sport and the Naish development team is always working hard to stay at the front edge of development. Over the past year, the biggest changes have been the universal acceptance of high aspect foils, and the expansion of the sport (especially winging) into the air with the inevitable hard landings and crashes. Both yield a dramatic increase in structural loading, so the Naish team took a thorough look at every aspect of our system.
Naish’s industry leading Indexed Scarf Joint (ISJ) is fully up to the task (unlike many other brands who have been forced to change their front wing connection), but our analysis suggested a comprehensive redesign of the mast/fuselage connection. Once we committed to a redesign, we also took the opportunity to improve functionality in areas beyond just increased strength.
THE NEW DESIGN DETAILS:
•Increased strength and durability to match the new load models
•Kept weight to a bare minimum
•Improved ease of assembly by going to (2)X M8 screws instead of (3)X M6
•Integrated a corrosion barrier between the carbon and aluminum masts and the aluminum fuselage
