Thruster performance, exponentially enhanced. For the Custom 3 Pro we are pairing our most progressive wave shapes with a V bottom shape and a faster rocker line. Slightly less rocker, making them faster and more stable.

New outlines and rail flow, the Custom 3 Pro is a middle ground between the Custom 4 Pro and the One 3 Pro.

Between the Custom 4 and the ONE. The initial design objectives focused on maintaining its wave riding performance in a wider variety of conditions. But as the line increases in sizes, we noticed more and more people loving the Custom 3 for bump & jump riding, which drove us to focus on refining some of the low end and speed characteristics to plane earlier, jump higher, and still get to those radical turns that stay with you.

The main difference to the Custom Quad is on the full V-Bottom with a slightly sharper rocker and more parallel outline. In the water, they are so much fun. They are easier to break the line and get vertical on a tight area. The tail releases earlier, making takas and other moves more accessible in all-around conditions.

Thrusters work best on these V bottoms, and I wouldn’t want to carry those two extra boxes on a performance board. They add weight and drag.

Vent Plug Screw –

This board comes with a vent plug screw that tightens onto a rubber seal ring. It is very important that the screw has been tightened before you use the board, and it’s equally important that it’s been removed before the board is transported by air, for example in your car, in summer, with the windows rolled up.

The screw needs to be tightened enough to seal the board, but not to where it might damage the rubber and/or the vent thread. Do not use power tools.

Make sure the rubber is not damaged and clean before installation. You can rinse it with fresh water. Do not get any water into the seal itself.

In comparison –

Custom 3 Pro over Custom 4 Pro when you want a bit more range to your volume and conditions.

Custom 3 Pro over Nitro 3 Pro when you want to ride more rail to rail in side shore conditions.

Custom 3 Pro over One 3 Carbon, when you want to ride closer to the wave, adjust your fin positions, and you won’t be needing the outboard footstrap options.
